European Quadball Cup

In 2019, I took on the role of Assistant Tournament Director for the European Quidditch Cup 2019 Division One. Together with Laurens, I collaborated on a successful bid, in partnership with the city of Harelbeke, to host the tournament in Harelbeke. This achievement marked the beginning of our preparations, commencing in November 2018, to orchestrate the event scheduled for May 2019.

 

As the Assistant Tournament Director, my responsibilities encompassed a wide array of tasks, including logistics, media coordination, financial management, and overseeing all on-site operations. I served as the primary point of contact between the tournament and the city authorities, which involved participating in safety meetings, liaising with the fire department, police, and even the Turkish Embassy.

 

In 2023 and 2024 I was responsible for the social media of both tournaments & Divisions. Division One in 2023 took
place in Heidelberg, Germany; Division Two in 2023 took place in Golbey, France. I designed all of the graphics for both announcements and scores. I focused on readily made easy changeable templates, so that we could work quick during the tournament.

 

In 2024, both divisions took place at the same time & place: Salou, Spain. During this tournament I was be in charge of coordinating all social media volunteers and photographers. This event featured about 2000 attendees and continous gameplay on 12 pitches. This made it the biggest European
quadball tournament yet!

In 2025, I am the General Coordinator for both events, keeping an overview over a newer committee.
